I'm practicing animating by studying my FAVORITE CARTOON OF ALL TIME "The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack" and doing short frame by frame animations from the show every day here's the first one.

some peculiar practice - not really testing animation as the animation itself is quick draft...ladies and gentlemen:

the completely open source flash movie - dancing monkey

animation is done in GIMP and the swf INCLUDING THE PRELOADER was compiled WITHOUT flash at all, needless to say, its all free and open source...not sure about the newgrounds preloader though, but thats a minor detail

now there is much to try but i can do pretty much anything -vector AND RASTER- i may post with a tutorial if somebody is interested

Here's some dude drinking beer. I haven't animated in a really long time (and when I was animating I was pretty bad :P) so here's me starting again. Also, the final animation was exported larger than the stage was in flash, so you see the bottom where I stopped drawing haha

lol Yeah I redrew most frames. The animators on DeviantArt make me feel lazy, so I did that to keep up. The animators here make me feel unfunny though.

The guy knows what he is doing I would say, its very useful.

Another little test, took me a few hours. I think I might start using the pencil tool more! I felt like Matt Groening while making this. I don't know why, but I did, and it felt good.

Also does anyone know why it keeps showing part of the animation that wasn't on the stage? It's pretty annoying.

And for anyone confused, it's someone trying to think of something to say, but ultimately finding himself speechless.

Any criticism is appreciated.

I know it is tedious, but try to draw more frames in between the movement and configuration.

wow, yes, you are acurate, but this is really my first sucessfull mouthing animation
